We represent residential homebuilders, master plan developers, owners, landlords and tenants. Together, we have over 45 years of experience in real estate and other transactions.

David Freilicher

David is an experienced real estate and business transactional lawyer, representing homebuilders, developers, property owners, tenants, investors and other businesses. He specializes in working with large and small homebuilders and developers on a wide array of matters from real estate acquisitions, dispositions and development to all types of real estate, construction and contract matters.

Before founding Freilicher Law in 2009, David spent 12 years as in-house counsel for Centex Homes and M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., two national homebuilders. His in-house experience includes management of all company legal matters, including transactions, employment, corporate governance, legal and policy compliance, and claims and litigation.

David grew up in Roslyn, New York, and is a graduate of Tufts University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree, and the University of Denver College of Law. David began his law practice in 1994 as an associate attorney for Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor & Pascoe, P.C. in Denver, Colorado.

David is admitted to practice in California (active status) and Colorado (inactive status).

Lisa Freilicher

Lisa is an experienced real estate and business lawyer and joined Freilicher Law in 2017. Lisa represents master plan developers, residential homebuilders, investors, landlords, tenants and other businesses.

Prior to joining Freilicher Law, Lisa was general counsel for The Cambay Group and its affiliated companies. Cambay is a large real estate development and holding company with projects that include River Islands, an 11,000 unit mixed-use master planned development project in Lathrop, California, Somerston Estate in Napa Valley, a 1,615 acre winery estate with over 200 acres of vineyards and an affiliated wine company, and various other real estate development and data center projects. As general counsel for Cambay, Lisa managed all legal matters for Cambay’s United States development projects and various subsidiaries, including transactions, employment, corporate governance, legal and policy compliance, and claims and litigation.

Prior to working with Cambay, Lisa worked as regional general counsel for Centex Homes, a large national publicly traded homebuilder, handling transactional work and managing litigation for divisions in Southern California, Sacramento, the Central Coast of California, Nevada and Oregon. Before joining Centex, Lisa represented homebuilders, developers, property owners, tenants, investors and other businesses while practicing in the real estate group at Morrison & Foerster.

Lisa graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law (University of California, Berkeley) and is admitted to practice law in California.
